Belgian designer Kris Van Puyvelde came up with the idea for this umbrella while sitting under a palm tree, admiring its long leaves swaying in the wind. Winner of the Red Dot Award, a prestigious international design competition, this elegant model, made from aluminium and anti-UV fabric, is exceptionally easy to operate: simply take hold of one of the canopy ribs to open and close it. Its round base, meanwhile, features tire rubber along the rim, allowing for easy maneuvering as it rolls on itself.
